Planned Classes for 2010
Building on the Rock - Understanding the Blueprints (3/21-5/30)
Like the wise man we want to build our faith upon the rock of Christ. This class will teach us about the big picture of God's design for creation, for mankind, and for our relationship with Him. Meets during the 9:30 service in the classroom.
Boundaries Class (6/13-8/8)
We are excited to offer this first-class curriculum by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend during the 9:30 services. Learn when to say "yes" and when to say "no" to take control of your life!
No Matter What (7/11-8/15)
We know that following God is always best, but it is not always easy. God’s ways are sometimes hard to understand, and there are times when His call requires us to do things that don’t make a whole lot of sense. That’s why the No Matter What series has been created: to help reveal how God does amazing things in the lives – and with the lives – of people who obey His Word. This six-week exploration into the lives and the choices of Abraham and Joseph, will help us see how God accomplishes His purposes in amazing ways when we follow Him, no matter what the circumstances.
Building on the Rock - Pouring a Foundation (Fall 2010)
This class will equip us to live out the Christian life by pouring a foundation of Christian disciplines. We will work out our faith together as we challenge one another to develop habits of Bible study, prayer, fasting, journaling, etc. Meets during the 9:30 service in the classroom.
Building on the Rock - Setting the Framework 1 - OT (Spring 2011)
Join us as we dig deeper into the structure and purpose in God's old covenant with mankind. Understanding the Old Testament is necessary to grasp the reason that Jesus came to live and die for us! Meets during the 9:30 service in the classroom.
Building on the Rock - Setting the Framework 2 - NT (Spring 2011)
After looking at the Old Testament, we will spend 10 weeks on the Gospels, Acts, the epistles and different genres of literature in the New Testament. We will bring to life the historical context of the early church and discuss how this relates to God's message to the contemporary Church. Meets during the 9:30 service in the classroom.
