Sean & Heather Christensen

Mission: World Team
Sean and Heather are missionaries to the Bible Institute of Light in Les Cayes, Haiti. Sean is on the teaching faculty providing theological education, ministry training and personal mentoring for leaders in the Haitian churches. Sean and Heather joined Faith Community Church in 1998 and Sean was our Discipleship Pastor from 2001 - 2007. OUr church sent a team to Haiti in 2011.
Pray for: Their family during the many transitions of their first term on the field. For their French language learning and for the growing influence of the evangelical church in Haiti.

Mission: Youth With a Mission
Carlos and Karla serve at the YWAM base in Guatemala City where they play a vital leadership role in the Discipleship Training School -- a five month school centered around Christian growth and evangelism. Our church has sent three teams there to assist in their ministry in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
Pray for: for closer ministry partnerships with local churches, for the effectiveness of Carlos' leadership, for the DTS students to become world changers for Christ.

Mission: World Partners USA
Tim and Susana were missionaries in England (Tim 8 years, Susana 4 years) then for 9 years in Uruguay providing theological education and ministry training for church planters. In 2006 the Lord led them to join a church planting team in southern Spain, where they continue to work in evangelism, Bible teaching, discipleship and ministry training. Tim is a native of Beloit. He met Susana in Georgia where she was working with Operation Moblization.
Pray for: Pray that disciples will grow & reach others for Christ.

Mission: The Gathering / Mission Emanuel
Jack leads a mercy ministry of health, education and community development in Cielo and Nazaret, two poor suburbs of the capital city of the DR. Mission Emanuel hosts many short-term missions teams each year, including our church's in June 2007 and 2009. Jack is a native of Rockford, IL and played a key role in Pastor Jeff's conversion and early ministry training.
Pray for: open hearts to the gospel as a result of the mercy ministries in these towns, for Jack's health, for excellent ministry partnership between the on-site personnel and the short-term teams

Nancy is a native of Janesville and ministers through friendship-oriented evangelism to international students. She occasionally visits some of the countries where her student friends originate.
Pray for: wisdom and discernment in discussions with students. Pray that she would be sensitive to God's Holy Spirit and His leading. For open hearts to the gospel among the international students and that the Christian students would be effective in sharing Christ through their friendships with internationals.

Location: Sweden
Mission: Crossworld
The Voss’ ministry includes evangelism, Bible teaching, preaching, discipleship, counseling and writing. They have a special heart for families and young couples as well as youth. John travels occasionally to teach in Eastern Europe. Kris is very active in discipleship and counseling with a special burden for young mothers. Their goal is to disciple Swedes who will be able to disciple others (2 Tim.2:2).
Pray for: A growing openness among Swedes for the gospel, for a fruitful church planting movement in Sweden, for John and Kris's spiritual protection and joyfulness among much spiritual darkness. For effective evangelism to the immigrants in Sweden.

Mission: Action Zambia
Tim is the country director for ACTION Zambia Ministries. His role is to provide leadership, direction and vision for the ACTION Zambia mission field. Tim and Andrea also help run Ciyanjano campground that has been open now for almost a year and is doing fantastic! There is rarely a weekend that either the campground or the Ripley center is not being used by a local church or Christian group. The purpose of Ciyanjano is to provide a place for impoverished churches to conduct church strengthening or evangelistic outreaches.

Mission: Voice of Love
Doug and Jan were missionaries in El Salvador in the 1980's. Since 1996, they have run a rescue mission in Mexico near the Arizona border to minister to the destitute and abandoned.
