It is not about us...

We know that a church does not exist in a vacuum.  Faith Community Church invests in the community.  We support area causes that seek to facilitate peace to our region.

The C.A.R.E.S. Ministry of Faith Community Church supports local Janesville, WI area ministries and agencies who provide assistance to those in need. We coordinate monthly donations needed by the agencies helping them to provide food, shelter, and clothing to the disadvantaged. It is our goal to provide church family members with an opportunity to serve our local community in three ways: 1) Donate items, 2) Volunteer at the agency, or 3) Make a cash donation. Check the C.A.R.E.S. Center in the foyer to see what items are needed and then drop them off anytime the church is open.

We are committed to reach out to those in our community with the love and hope we have in Christ. This goes beyond our doors and into the very neighborhoods we live in. God has called us to be His hands and His feet and to demonstrate His love through caring for others.

On-Going Food and Personal Care Item Pantry
On-going needs exist for both food and personal care items within all of the agencies and ministries we support. The C.A.R.E.S. Center is conveniently located in the foyer to receive your donations anytime the church is open.  A “C.A.R.E.S. Shopping List” is available at the Center as a reminder to shop for sales whenever you are out and about. If you have any questions, please contact Laura Bergeron, Community Outreach Director at 608 758-2850.

Immigration Legal Services Outreach

Faith Community Church seeks to reach out and serve the immigrant community in Rock County and it's surrounding areas through the outreach.  Our services include determination of client's eligibility for immigration benefit and/or relief, preparation and submission of applications, representation before the USCIS and referral of cases outside it's expertise.

On June 14, 2016, Faith Community Church was recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals and is authorized to provide such services through it's BIA accredited representative.  A list of state-by-state accredited representatives and recognized organizations is found at:

Leviticus 19:33-34 states: When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him.  The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born.  Love him as yourself for you were aliens in Egypt.  I am the Lord your God."

It is in obedience to this command and our hope to make Christ known that inspire us to love and serve vulnerable immigrants in our midst.

People needing assistance are requested to call Evelyn Tan Woodring, Ministry Leader at (608) 868-5027 for appointment which is set on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to noon at Faith Community Church.

* The ministry collects nominal fees for its services but no client will be denied assistance due to inability to pay.
