Our Year in Review

We believe the Church should be active in their community.  We believe in the old saying, "Leave this world a little better than you found it" (Robert Baden-Powell).  Each year we normally try to capture the year in type.  This year we thought we'd put it in digital form.  This is not an exhaustive look at the year, but it will give you a snap shot.

Humble Beginnings

On January 7th, 1990 a few families gathered in the small meeting room of the Janesville Motor Lodge. This was the beginning of what is now Faith Community Church.

In 1991 the church began to our grow the facility and began meeting at Rock County Christian School.

It was in 1994 with continued growth they met in Woodland Adventist School, until they purchased land on Lucerne Drive.  The new church building was complete in 1998 with phase 1.  The land was prime, visible from Interstate 39/90 the church was poised for growth.

Various expansions have been made since that first shovel went in to the ground.  Phase 3 in 2003 added additional classrooms, staff meeting rooms, larger foyer space and expanded seating in the sanctuary.  Phase 4 was finished in 2008 adding on a larger sanctuary, kitchen and meeting rooms.  Plans are in place for phase 5 in 2020.
